A exquisite banded agate and diamond bracelet from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! Crafted in rich 15kt yellow gold, this stunning piece is comprised of six large agate links which alternate with diamond lined connector loops, together forming a bold and flexible design. The large hollow links are oval in shape and each feature a bezel set banded agate stone at the center. The stones are smoothly polished into an oval cabochon shape and have a rich,?deep brownish black color banded with a stripe of bright white and brown undertones. Separating the agate links are hinged connector loops which have a ribbed surface and adorn a row of three old Rose Cut diamonds, giving the bracelet a touch of sparkle. The bracelet fastens at a clasp seamlessly hidden within the final agate link and there is a safety chain for added security. The hinged links provide a comfortable style for wear, and allows the bracelet to bend only in one direction. The tongue of the clasp is stamped with a "GM" makers mark. The gorgeous earth tones of black, brown and white set in the yellow gold make this a spectacular accessory! This bracelet makes a true statement when worn and would make a lovely addition to any collection!
Measurement: The total inner circumference of the bracelet measures approximately 6 7/8 long and the top surface is slightly less than 7/8" wide and 3/8" thick. The bracelet would fit a slightly below average wrist or smaller.
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the banded agate stones or diamonds, all of which are intact. The clasp and safety chain are snug, secure, and in good working condition.
